  1. Remove the battery cover by gently pressing down on the two tabs at the top and then pulling up.
  2. Remove the four screws that hold the controller together, being careful not to lose any of the cables attached underneath.
  3. Once the screws are removed, carefully pull apart the controller so that it can be cleaned. Make sure to clean all of the dust and debris off of all of the components before reassembling it.
